Both Ernie and Helene Catalano have been in ministry for over
35 years, from 1976 through 1996. They pastored a church on Long Island NY. When God called them to move on, they became traveling missionaries and turned over their congregation to another pastor.
Called to be Teachers and Exhorters to the Body of Christ “Our desire is to come not with enticing words of men, but to exalt the name of Jesus Christ and to bring words of encouragement to the body of Christ.”
The Lord gave us a word when we first started our church and that was from Hosea 4:6 KJV

About Our Ministry
Ernie and Helene Catalano have been in ministry for over 35 years, from 1976 through 1996. They pastored a church which was started in their home as a bible study in Coram, NY. When God called them to move on, they became traveling missionaries and turned over their congregation to another pastor.
They and their four children responded to the call of God on their lives and were born-again in 1973. The Catalanos conducted Bible studies in homes and brought hurting people to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. In 1976 they founded a local church which Ernie pastored until October of 1996 when the Lord instructed him to turn over the leadership of the congregation to another pastor.
Equipped with a broad perspective as father, grandfather, teacher, and pastor, Ernie himself now invests in the lives of leaders and congregations at home and abroad. They have ministered in Mexico, Barbados, and fifteen European countries and the U.S. Shortly after their born again experience with the Lord, Ernie and Helene Catalano began holding Bible studies in the homes of friends and relatives, eager to share their new found revelation and hunger for more of God.
In 1988 they were asked to participate in a "Time of Refreshing" Missionary Conference in the Black Forest of Germany. Being able to come and serve their American brothers and sisters who were in coming from many different countries in Europe, excited the Catalanos. Little did they know that God was opening a new door of ministry for them. Many of these missionaries felt they were isolated, being the only Americans in a foreign country.
As a result of these conferences many wonderful, lasting relationships were built with those missionaries. It became an opportunity of blessing on both sides when Ernie and Helene were asked to come and minister in these churches.
In March of 1996, after returning from a month of ministry in England, the Lord began to speak to Pastor Ernie through Ecc.3:5; "a time to embrace and a time to let go", and that a "Season of Change" was coming to his life. He realized then he was torn between traveling abroad and pastoring the local church they began back in 1976.
After seeking the Lord for several months he and his wife agreed to sell their home and invest into the travel ministry, so as not to put a financial burden on the church. Not knowing what to do about their church they waited on the Lord for direction. A few days after their home was placed on the market they were asked by another ministry about the use of the building for church services. As they prayed, Pastor Ernie began to sense that this minister was the one the Lord sent as its new leader. In October of 1996 the Lord made a way for the Catalanos to pursue what the Lord had put on their hearts to do.
In December of 1997 Pastor Ernie and Helene linked up with Joyce Meyer Ministries to be a part of her travel team. They have had the joy of being a part of what God is doing in the United States as overseas as a result of this open door. They continue to travel extensively, never asking for anything but to be a blessing to anyone who will receive them. Most of our overseas ministry trips are paid for by our faithful friends, partners and supporters. We have been invited to go into many different countries over the past 14 years and continue to do so as the Lord continues to provide and as we are physically able to do so. The trips that we have made in recent years have been to the Ukraine, Greece, South Africa and Italy. Some of the trips, we were able to use some of our frequent flyer miles which we had acclimated from our travels with Joyce Meyer Ministry; however, the last two trips were paid for out of our own pockets because we believe so strongly that what we are doing is for the Lord. Each year I make two overseas ministry trips, to the United Kingdom and to Sicily. We are so thankful to the Lord for he has taken care of most of our food, lodging and transportation while there. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a partner with us as we continue to travel with this good news of grace and healing to the people in other countries. As you may or may not know we are not supported by any church or ministry. You can become a monthly partner or a one-time supporter our ministry with any amount you prayerfully decide to give.
